Launched in 2008, the Nike Air Max Plus 97 SL is a hybrid style that combines two of Nike's most popular runners, the Air Max Plus and the Air Max 97. Seen on the Air Max Plus upper is a cool grey base with the Swoosh brand’s wave-like ripple lines in black laid on top. Subtle hints of red give the sneaker some pop, and an all-black toe cap protects the front. The Nike Air Max Plus 97 SL also dons a foam sole with full-length Max Air cushioning, borrowed from the Air Max 97.
