In 2012 famed artist Tom Sachs collaborated with Nike on the Mars Yard sneaker, a design based off the concept of an athletic sneaker for rocket scientists. Released in extremely limited quantities, the shoe left many sneaker collectors thirsty for more. In 2017 many were delighted when this Mars Yard 2.0 hit the market, but it was still no easy task acquiring a pair, and the value has done nothing but skyrocket since their release.
